As a member of the prestigious Association of American Universities (AAU), Texas A&M University is a Carnegie Classification R1-Very High Research Activity institution.
About the Department
The Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics has a strong research focus and offers a range of academic programs, including Master of Public Health (MPH) degrees in epidemiology and biostatistics, as well as a fully online MPH degree in epidemiology. The department is home to over 120 graduate students and has a diverse faculty with expertise in epidemiologic methods and applied biostatistics.
About the Position
We seek a candidate with a PhD or equivalent degree in biostatistics, epidemiology, or a related field. The successful candidate will be expected to pursue collaborations with institutes, centers, and programs across the Texas A&M University campus and will have the opportunity to engage in scholarship and extramural research activity.
Responsibilities
- Teach face-to-face and online graduate and undergraduate courses in epidemiology or biostatistics
- Provide academic advising and mentoring for Master and Doctor of Public Health graduate students
- Pursue collaborations with institutes, centers, and programs across the Texas A&M University campus
- Engage in scholarship and extramural research activity
