Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Calibration Specialist to join our team at Micro Precision. As a key member of our calibration team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and precision of our test instruments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calibration and Maintenance
    • Perform routine calibration and maintenance on a variety of test instruments, including electrical equipment, industrial equipment, and temperature equipment.
    • Verify the accuracy and precision of calibrated instruments and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Standards and Quality Control
    • Maintain and check company standards as assigned by the Lab Manager.
    • Collect and record calibration data, including out-of-tolerance conditions.
  • Training and Development
    • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest calibration techniques and technologies.
    • Share knowledge and best practices with other team members to ensure a high level of quality and consistency.
  • Communication and Customer Service
    • Communicate effectively with customers and coworkers to resolve calibration issues and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
    • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in calibration and maintenance, preferably in a laboratory or industrial setting.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Valid driver's license required.
    • Basic knowledge of mechanical and dimensional equipment preferred.
    • Experience with basic instrumentation and manual tools preferred.
    • Basic mathematics understanding required.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Experience with MS Word and Excel required.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
Work Environment

Work performed in a laboratory setting, with occasional travel to customer facilities.

Up to 25% out-of-town, overnight travel may be required.
