We are seeking a skilled Electrical Calibration Specialist to join our team at Micro Precision. As a key member of our calibration team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and precision of our test instruments.
Key Responsibilities- Calibration and Maintenance
- Perform routine calibration and maintenance on a variety of test instruments, including electrical equipment, industrial equipment, and temperature equipment.
- Verify the accuracy and precision of calibrated instruments and make adjustments as necessary.
- Standards and Quality Control
- Maintain and check company standards as assigned by the Lab Manager.
- Collect and record calibration data, including out-of-tolerance conditions.
- Training and Development
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest calibration techniques and technologies.
- Share knowledge and best practices with other team members to ensure a high level of quality and consistency.
- Communication and Customer Service
- Communicate effectively with customers and coworkers to resolve calibration issues and provide excellent customer service.
- Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in calibration and maintenance, preferably in a laboratory or industrial setting.
- Skills and Qualifications
- Valid driver's license required.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical and dimensional equipment preferred.
- Experience with basic instrumentation and manual tools preferred.
- Basic mathematics understanding required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with MS Word and Excel required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
Work performed in a laboratory setting, with occasional travel to customer facilities.
Up to 25% out-of-town, overnight travel may be required.
