Education Manager RN

VNS Health is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) Educator to join our team in North Bergen, New Jersey. As an Education Manager RN, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of healthcare through education and training.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver engaging educational programs and training materials to empower our clinical staff.
  • Craft and refine curriculum to ensure our teams are always at the cutting edge of healthcare excellence.
  • Collaborate with Education staff across the enterprise to develop an annual training calendar.
  • Ensure clinical education programs align with CMS Triple Aim framework.
  • Manage implementation of clinical staff development programs, including orientation, in-services, training, and other learning activities.
  • Review program specific educational program outcomes and program evaluations to determine areas for improvement.
  • Train and/or oversee training of new and current staff in VNS Health/program philosophy, policy, standards, procedures, documentation, models for service delivery, and efficient, productive, cost-effective work processes.
  • Monitor and evaluate performance of newly hired staff and staff referred on for remedial or additional training.
  • Design new and modify existing educational curriculum and training materials to ensure staff has current knowledge and competencies to meet program contractual and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct educational needs assessment in collaboration with operations staff to identify learning needs among staff.
  • Develop education programs, such as workshops and/or group learning activities, to address performance issues and develop performance improvement plans for tenured employees.
  • Participate in the development of revised programs and/or materials.
  • Communicate ongoing e-learning opportunities and evaluate e-learning usage and effectiveness.
  • Analyze course evaluations to evaluate effectiveness of training sessions and implement improvements.
  • Participate in the development of annual clinical education strategic goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with Quality department in the development of and implementation of education-related training programs.
Requirements:
  • Current license and registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse.
  • CM certification (Certified Care Management) preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent work experience required.
  • Master's Degree in Nursing required.
  • Minimum four years' experience in a community-based or long-term home health setting, including at least two years with a primary focus on education and training.
  • Medicare experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of healthcare delivery systems, patient care, care coordination, case management, and clinical processes required.
  • Experience assessing and designing clinical education programs preferred.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting in a teaching capacity with an understanding of adult education and learning processes preferred.
  • Knowledge of computer applications required.
