Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

  • Gather and sort dirty dishware from tubs and transport it to the dish room for washing.
  • Rinse and stack dishes in dishracks, ensuring they are free of food and debris.
  • Load dishracks onto the automatic dishwashing machine and ensure correct placement for optimal cleaning.
  • Operate the automatic dishwashing machine, monitoring and adjusting controls as needed.
  • Unload clean dishes from racks and inspect them for cleanliness before stacking them in designated carts and shelves.
  • Manually scrub and polish pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment that cannot be washed automatically.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dish room, including sweeping, mopping, and emptying trash.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, including mopping kitchen floors and cleaning kitchen work surfaces.

Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of dishwashing and cleaning procedures.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds, including serving trays, carts, and small equipment.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods and travel up to 300 feet.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask as needed.

Working Conditions:

This position requires prolonged standing, walking, lifting, and carrying throughout the shift in a 95% indoor environment. The temperature in the freezer can drop to -10 degrees.
