Job Summary

Hotel California by the Sea is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Treatment Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the recovery journey of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Support and Mentoring: Provide general support and guidance to clients, maintaining a professional relationship that aligns with our company's mission and vision.
  • Environmental Maintenance: Ensure the property and environment of care are clean, sanitary, safe, secure, and free of obstructions/clutter.
  • Client Orientation and Inventory: Assist in welcoming new clients, conducting property inventory, and searching for contraband as necessary.
  • Treatment Program Compliance: Perform operations duties to support and enforce compliance with treatment program rules, code of conduct, and good neighbor policy.
  • Medication Observation and Screening: Observe client self-administration of medication and conduct urine drug screening/breath alcohol screening as per company policy.
  • Client Participation and Engagement: Provide support and assistance to maintain client participation and engagement in treatment.
  • Communication and Reporting: Communicate with operations staff and site managers regarding day-to-day operations and client care, completing shift reports and informing incoming staff of any potential issues.
  • Transportation and Compliance: Transport clients in company vehicles when necessary and comply with company policies, HIPAA, and other governing laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Driving Record: Valid driver's license for 4+ years with a clean driving record
  • Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid Certification/Training, Current PPD and Health Screening
  • Experience: At least six (6) months of experience working in a treatment setting, preferably with individuals with substance use disorders, mental health disorders, and/or co-occurring conditions

  • Verbal and Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively with clients, staff, and professionals
  • Time Management: Good time management skills, completing assigned tasks in a timely and professional manner
  • Cultural Competence: Demonstrated ability to interact effectively and respectfully with individuals of diverse backgrounds
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and Behavioral Healthcare: General knowledge and understanding of laws, regulations, rules, and standards in the behavioral healthcare field
