Job Summary

Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and attentive Food and Beverage Server to join our team at Compass Group Careers. As a key member of our dining room staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room, taking food and beverage orders in an efficient manner.
  • Deliver food and beverages promptly and professionally, maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards.
  • Demonstrate a complete understanding of menu items and ingredients, advising guests on appropriate combinations and accommodating special requests.
  • Communicate effectively with back-of-house staff to ensure accurate order delivery and special requests are met.
  • Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
  • Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
  • Maintain a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared.
  • Promptly address complaints or issues, relaying relevant information to supervisors.
  • Ensure the dining room is properly set up prior to and after service periods, maintaining established sanitation standards.
  • Operate various equipment, including fire extinguishers, telephones, and coffee machines.
  • Collaborate with staff from other departments to perform job duties during special events and functions.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
