Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team at Nease Animal Hospital in St. Augustine, FL. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our veterinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including restraint, triage, and anesthesia management
  • Collect and analyze lab samples, perform diagnostic imaging, and provide nursing care for medical and hospitalized cases
  • Administer medications, communicate treatment plans with clients, and maintain accurate medical records
  • Participate in surgical preparation and assistance, and maintain a clean and safe working environment
Requirements
  • 1+ year of experience as a Veterinary Assistant or Technician
  • Compassionate and calm demeanor, with excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to properly restrain pets and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in sample collection, jugular vein blood draws, and anesthesia monitoring
  • Self-starter with a desire to continue advancing knowledge and skillset
  • Open availability and flexibility to work varied shifts
