Overview of the Clinical Nurse Coordinator Role

CommonSpirit Health Mountain Region is seeking a skilled RN Clinical Coordinator to join our team in the Emergency Department Observation unit at St. Anthony Hospital. As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will play a vital role in coordinating clinical and department activities, ensuring high-quality care delivery to each patient.

This is a fast-paced environment where you can practice to the top of your profession in trauma, cardiology, stroke, neurosciences, breast imaging, cancer/oncology care, surgery, and more. Our team is committed to delivering safe, quality care to every patient in a timely manner.

Responsibilities of the Clinical Nurse Coordinator
  • Act as a vital link between physicians and the patient care team to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Maintain communication and promote cooperation with unit staff and other departments.
  • Provide input and recommendations to the director/manager on coaching, mentoring, and performance management of associates.
  • Assume responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.
Qualifications for the Clinical Nurse Coordinator Role

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • Associates Degree in Nursing (Nursing Diploma or by endorsement) required
  • BSN, preferred
  • CO RN License to practice in state of employment as applicable, required
  • Nursing Specialty Certification, preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of direct clinical experience as a Registered Nurse
