Estimator and Project Manager for Architectural Metal Solutions

AEC National Recruiters is seeking an experienced Estimator and Project Manager to join our team in the architectural metal industry. This role will play a crucial part in project management and sales processes by accurately estimating costs associated with interior glass partitions, architectural metalwork, and glass installations.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled professional with a minimum of 5 years' experience in the architectural metal and glass field or a related industry. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and organizational skills, proficiency in industry-specific estimating software, and excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for interior glass partition and architectural metal and glass projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and other relevant factors.
  • Collaborate with the sales and project management teams to develop competitive bids and proposals for potential clients.
  • Identify and source appropriate materials, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality while maintaining relationships with suppliers.
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and blueprints to accurately assess project requirements and generate precise estimates.
  • Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle of a project, providing regular updates to the project management team.
  • Suggest cost-saving alternatives and value engineering solutions to improve project profitability.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of estimates, proposals, and correspondence for future reference and reporting.
  • Communicate with clients to clarify project details and address any inquiries related to estimates and proposals.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and regulations to ensure our estimates remain competitive and compliant.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the architectural metal and glass field or a related industry.
  • Proficiency in industry-specific estimating software and tools.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is commensurate with experience, but we estimate it to be around $80,000-$110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and location. We offer a range of benefits, including strong compensation and a positive work environment.
