Position Overview:
We are in search of a qualified Psychologist/Neuropsychologist who is fluent in both English and Spanish to become a part of our expanding team. The successful candidate will possess expertise in conducting diagnostic evaluations, performing psychological assessments, and executing immigration evaluations. This position necessitates outstanding clinical abilities, cultural awareness, and the capacity to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate cognitive functions, personality characteristics, emotional health, and more.
- Perform immigration evaluations to determine individuals' psychological and emotional readiness for the immigration process, providing comprehensive reports promptly.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, counselors, and psychologists, to ensure holistic care for patients.
- Maintain precise and confidential medical records and documentation of all assessments, evaluations, and treatments.
- Stay informed about the latest developments and research in psychology to enhance clinical expertise and provide evidence-based care.
- Engage in professional development activities and pursue ongoing learning opportunities to continually refine clinical skills.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards, ensuring best practices for patient care, privacy, and confidentiality.
- Work in conjunction with other healthcare professionals, such as therapists and social workers.
Requirements:
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Prior experience in conducting diagnostic, psychological, and immigration evaluations.
- Current license to practice psychology in the state of Virginia.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish, with the ability to conduct assessments and compose reports in both languages.
- Thorough understanding of various psychological assessment tools and diagnostic methodologies.
- Strong interviewing and communication skills, demonstrating empathy and compassion towards clients.
- Proficient in report writing and record-keeping, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with immigration laws, regulations, and psychological guidelines relevant to immigration evaluations.
