Behavioral Health Specialist I

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Behavioral Health Specialist I to join our team. The successful candidate will work in a residential treatment program, providing clinical services to adults with substance use disorders and mental health conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group psycho-educational sessions for clients, family members, and significant others.
- Conduct admission and orientation into the program/services.
- Assist with data gathering for needs assessment.
- Contribute to the development of individual service plans.
- Make interventions as outlined in the service plan.
- Provide individual supportive counseling and skill-building involving specific concerns.
- Transport and accompany individuals to various appointments.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, sociology, nursing, public health or a related field.
- Valid Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) certification.
- First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications.
- Valid motor vehicle driver's license with fewer than six demerit points.
- MANDT Certifications.
- Medication Administration Assistance (VA) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience providing treatment to individuals with serious mental health and/or substance use disorders.
- Experience working in a residential treatment program.
- Experience as a counselor or counseling aide in a substance abuse treatment program.
Work Schedule:
Days, evenings, weekends, nights, holidays may be required.
