Manufacturing Process Improvement Specialist

At Hamilton, we are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to lead initiatives that drive system-level manufacturing improvements. This role will be instrumental in defining, specifying, and launching improved automation processes, and will work closely with a team to achieve strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and Execute Production Improvement Projects: Develop and implement projects to improve cost, quality, availability, and rate, and ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and manufacturing standards.
- Maintain Assembly Documentation: Ensure that assembly documentation, BOMs, and production routings are up-to-date and accurate, with a focus on future improvements.
- Lead Manufacturing Process Improvement Initiatives: Drive change and improvements to manufacturing processes, and provide insight into driving change and lead initiatives.
- Evaluate Operational Costs: Analyze operational costs for equipment and processes, including yield, scrap, manpower, and rate.
- Troubleshoot Production Floor Issues: Identify and resolve production floor issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Oversee Manufacturing Quality: Ensure internal manufacturing quality and external customer experience quality in assigned areas of responsibility.
- Document Tasks and Processes: Document performed tasks, including project descriptions, technical specifications, testing data, and implementation notes.
- Strong Technical Understanding: Possess a strong technical understanding of mechanics and electromechanical equipment.
- Leadership and Communication Skills: Demonstrate success as a leader and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Lean Processes: Have experience improving flow and implementing Lean processes.
- Automation and Capital Projects: Have experience successfully concepting, specifying, designing, and/or implementing automation equipment and capital projects, and managing to desired OEE.
- Education and Experience: Possess a Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, industrial, or similar engineering, or equivalent experience, and a minimum of five years of experience in a manufacturing or equipment engineering position at a production facility.
