We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Peer Support Specialist to join our team at our 5th Street location. As a Peer Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting clients in their recovery journey, providing guidance and resources to help them achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support and guidance to clients, helping them navigate their recovery process
  • Collaborate with clients to identify and achieve their recovery goals
  • Use your own recovery experience to inform and guide your work with clients
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community resources and services to support client needs

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Self-attestation of ongoing recovery from a mental health diagnosis
  • 6 consecutive months of self-directed recovery, as defined by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services
  • Current driver's license, car insurance, and a driving record acceptable to Southeastern's insurance provider
  • Pass a comprehensive criminal background check, including fingerprinting, Dept. of Social Services Central Registry check, Motor Vehicle background check, and drug screening
