As one of the largest air services providers worldwide, dnata has been in operation since 1959, ensuring the aviation industry runs smoothly across 129 airports. We offer a range of services including ground handling, cargo, travel, and flight catering in 35 countries, serving over 300 airline partners. Daily, we manage over 1,900 flights, transport more than 8,500 tons of cargo, arrange over 16,000 hotel stays, and serve over 320,000 meals.
Key Responsibilities:
The Ground Support Equipment Technician plays a vital role in diagnosing and repairing gas and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and air brake systems. This position is essential for maintaining the safety and efficiency of our operations.
- Diagnose equipment issues using electrical and hydraulic schematics and testing tools.
- Repair, refurbish, and maintain equipment components to ensure optimal performance.
- Complete and manage electronic work orders efficiently.
- Keep company equipment in a clean, organized, and operational state.
- Conduct scheduled Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMIs).
- Interpret and utilize manufacturer-provided documentation.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding equipment status and recommendations.
- Work in various weather conditions as required.
- Promote a safe working environment and adhere to all company policies and standards.
- Meet attendance requirements as established by the station.
Qualifications:
- Technicians must possess and maintain their own tools, toolbox, and testing equipment.
- Valid state driver's license and any necessary FAA/Airport certifications are required.
- Two to five years of relevant experience or training is preferred.
- Detail-oriented with a professional approach to work.
- Familiarity with airport Ground Service Equipment (GSE) and operations is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Certification in Air Brake adjustment is required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, pulling, and pushing items weighing 75 pounds or more, as well as bending, standing, climbing, or walking.
- Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends.
- Capability to work safely in environments with chemicals, cleaning agents, dust, and noise.
