Anesthesia Technician

At Torrance Memorial Medical Center, we are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing activities related to the Anesthesia Department, providing anesthesia support services throughout the medical center, and ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of patient care.

• Coordinate and manage activities related to the Anesthesia Department, including inventory management, equipment maintenance, and supply chain compliance.
• Provide anesthesia support services throughout the medical center, including setting up and assisting with anesthesia equipment, and maintaining accurate records associated with the care and use of anesthesia equipment and supplies.
• Ensure the safe and efficient delivery of patient care, including adhering to infection prevention guidelines and standard precautions, and participating in emergency procedures as needed.
• Assist with the orientation and training of new personnel, and participate in the global availability of Anesthesia equipment, including ordering, purchasing, and inventory management.

• BCLS or ACLS Certification
• Basic knowledge of cardiac and respiratory anatomy and physiology as it relates to anesthetized patients
• Possess knowledge of operating room procedures, sterile technique, standard precautions, and anesthesia care
• Demonstrate good reading comprehension, accurate spelling, and legible handwriting
• Demonstrate effective and diplomatic oral communication
