Job Overview:

Earning Potential Up to $100,000 per year

The primary role of the Collision Repair Specialist is to provide outstanding customer service through precise evaluation and quality restoration of vehicles to their pre-accident state. This position involves thorough disassembly, repair, and reassembly of vehicles, contributing significantly to our commitment to speed, quality, and customer satisfaction. The Collision Repair Specialist collaborates with team members to meet repair facility KPIs and serves as a dedicated representative of The Boyd Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement the WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan consistently.
  • Assess repair needs and prepare cost estimates for clients. Utilize various tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers for vehicle repairs.
  • Address minor body damage by hammering out dents and applying filler resins when necessary.
  • Realign vehicle chassis and frames to rectify structural damage.
  • Remove damaged vehicle sections and replace them with new or aftermarket components. Repair or replace glass and windshields as required.
  • Replace or repair interior components as needed.
  • Weld and fit parts securely, preparing and repainting vehicles with factory-matched paint or equivalent.
  • Strive to complete work orders within labor time guidelines and ensure all repairs are executed correctly through vehicle inspections.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Successful completion of a technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to interpret job orders and work independently.
  • Collaborative skills to work effectively with other repair technicians.
  • Comprehensive understanding of vehicle body repair methods and procedures.
  • Proficient in using the necessary tools for the trade.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to work safely in a noisy environment with various odors.
  • Capability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to visually assess vehicle damage in diverse weather conditions.
  • Physical capability to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat for repairs and inspections.
