Strategic Account Manager

About the Role:
This Client Executive role is responsible for driving business growth and strategy for major regional accounts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in consultative sales, preferably in high technology, and will be able to prospect and manage C-level and senior level relationships within large multi-national companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic plans to drive business growth and revenue expansion in key accounts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to become a trusted advisor and thought leader in the industry.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts and develop strategic plans to drive growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute sales strategies and tactics.
- Manage and maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reports.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity to ensure Gartner's products and services remain competitive.
Requirements:
- 10-15 years of external experience in consultative sales, preferably in high technology.
- Proven success in driving business growth and revenue expansion in key accounts.
- Ability to prospect and manage C-level and senior level relationships within large multi-national companies.
- Strong demonstration of intellect, drive, executive presence, and sales acumen.
- Proven experience building excellent client relationships and offering value-added, insightful, and strategic insight into their business.
- Comprehensive understanding of technology buying centers and extensive relevant industry knowledge.
- Strong computer proficiency and excellent written and oral/presentation skills.
- Ability to develop and conduct effective presentations with contract decision makers (C-level).
- Knowledge of the full life cycle of the sales process from prospecting to close.
- Language requirements as determined by territory needs.
