Job Title: PT American Sign Language Instructor

Foothill-De Anza Community College District is seeking a part-time American Sign Language Instructor to join our team. As an instructor, you will be responsible for teaching Elementary American Sign Language and contributing to the development of our students' communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach American Sign Language courses to students of varying skill levels
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to promote student learning and retention
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in American Sign Language, Deaf Education, or a related field
  • Experience teaching American Sign Language to students of varying skill levels
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse and inclusive environment
Working Conditions:

This position is a part-time, non-tenure track position. The successful candidate will be required to work on campus and may be required to participate in departmental meetings and events.
