Job Summary

Foothill De Anza Community College District is seeking a qualified Part-Time Chinese Language Instructor to teach elementary, intermediate, and advanced Chinese (Mandarin & Cantonese) language courses. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of the language and culture, as well as excellent teaching and communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Teach Chinese language courses to students of varying skill levels
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and curriculum
  • Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Participate in department meetings and contribute to the development of language programs
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Chinese language or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a college or university setting
  • Strong knowledge of Chinese language and culture
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in an indoor office environment and will be required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time. The ability to lift and carry objects up to 20 lbs is also necessary.
