Located in Morocco, Ai Movement serves as a center of excellence dedicated to advancing knowledge and innovation in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. As a UNESCO reference center for AI in Africa, our mission is to cultivate ethical, responsible, and inclusive AI practices across the continent.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will:
- Contribute to the center's research and teaching efforts.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of researchers, engineers, post-doctoral fellows, and PhD candidates from various backgrounds.
- Lead courses and training sessions in the domain of generative language models.
- Engage in executive training and foster interactions within the research ecosystem.
- Publish scientific work to enhance the visibility of Ai Movement's research activities.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A PhD in computer science or a closely related field with a focus on automatic natural language processing (NLP) and substantial experience in large language models (LLMs).
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in a similar academic or research position.
- A strong record of impactful research publications.
- A proven ability to secure research funding or the potential to do so.
- Experience in both initial and executive education within their area of expertise.
- Excellent organizational skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency in oral and written communication in both French and English.
Technical Skills:
The candidate should have:
- Comprehensive knowledge of machine learning algorithms, deep learning, and generative models for language, alongside proficient programming skills in Python and C++.
- Expertise in using deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Experience in mentoring interns, PhD students, and post-doctoral researchers, as well as collaborating with international teams.
