Job Summary

BHE Renewables is seeking a skilled Solar Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on our PV solar equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting equipment
  • Repair and replace faulty equipment, including electrical and mechanical components
  • Troubleshoot issues with PV solar systems, including identifying and resolving electrical and mechanical problems
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operation of the solar facility
  • Document all maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and testing
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in solar maintenance or a related field
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles, including circuit analysis and troubleshooting
  • Ability to work at heights, lift heavy equipment, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid California driver's license required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or higher in a related field, such as electrical or mechanical engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in solar maintenance or a related field
  • Knowledge of instrumentation and control systems, including calibration and troubleshooting
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions

The Solar Maintenance Technician will work in a fast-paced environment, often at heights, and may be exposed to extreme temperatures, loud noises, and hazardous materials. The position requires the ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and climb ladders and stairs.
