At Oakmont Senior Living, we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the physical plant, exterior, and interior common areas, and individual resident units in the community are well-maintained and safe for all staff, residents, and guests.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repairs and replacements.
- Assist with apartment turnovers, including painting, carpet cleaning, and pressure washing.
- Maintain grounds, including pool and spa areas, if applicable.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
- Collaborate with co-workers and other departments to achieve team goals and objectives.
- Prefer six (6) months of experience in the building industry, maintenance, and/or housekeeping handling the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, and structural matters.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
- Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
- Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
