About the Role

STERIS is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sterile Processing Manager to lead our Central Sterile Processing Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily operations of the department, ensuring that all processes are followed in compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the Central Sterile Processing team in day-to-day operations
  • Lead training efforts and ensure proper policy implementation
  • Interview and hire new employees, and coach existing employees to meet company objectives and customer requirements
  • Assist Sterile Processing Technicians with instrument processing as needed
  • Communicate and foster relationships with all levels of hospital staff and STERIS leadership
  • Deliver Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and review quality metrics with customers
  • Ensure proper processes are followed by all Sterile Processing team members for compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Partner with the Continuous Improvement team to streamline processes and create an effective and efficient work environment
Requirements
  • 6+ years of Sterile Processing Department experience required
  • 1+ year in an SPD supervisory/leader position
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Active certification in sterile processing/central sterile via CBSPD or IAHCSMM required
  • Additional certification for SPD Management/Leadership is preferred
