Job SummaryThe Respiratory Therapist in our Respiratory Care Services department is responsible for administering respiratory care under a physician's order, including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, advanced airway management, arterial puncture and analysis, electrocardiograms, and mechanical ventilation for adult, geriatric, and neonatal patients.
Responsibilities- Plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of therapy with communication to the physician and healthcare team.
- Administer respiratory care, including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and mechanical ventilation.
- Perform advanced airway management, arterial puncture and analysis, and electrocardiograms.
- 1 year of clinical experience in respiratory therapy, with experience in emergency/trauma preferred.
- Associate's degree in respiratory therapy required.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required.
- NC Respiratory Care Practitioner certification required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
3 days/6 week schedule, with weekend and call requirements as needed.
