Position Summary:
The Enterprise Product team is seeking a Manager of Advertising Integration to lead a diverse technical product team. This role entails overseeing the execution of significant cross-platform advertising products while managing direct reports responsible for device-specific ad product implementation across Web, Mobile, and OTT platforms. The Manager will collaborate closely with product owners, ad product teams, brand engineering, video player, and QA teams to ensure seamless execution of ad integration projects across all devices, maintaining the high standards expected within the NBCU portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor an ad integration team, focusing on selection, onboarding, and performance management.
  • Oversee the execution of ad product integration across various devices, including Desktop/Mobile Web, Android/FireTV, iOS/tvOS, Roku/RAF, Chromecast, Gaming Consoles, Set-Top Boxes, and smart TVs.
  • Collaborate with ad product and central/brand tech teams to establish best practices for Ad Server Integration, ensuring a balance between commerce and user experience.
  • Facilitate the onboarding of new cross-device advertising features and products.
  • Ensure integration teams actively participate in quarterly planning exercises, from initial stages to tactical execution and delivery.
  • Comprehend the complexities and limitations of the ad technology ecosystem and digital landscape.
  • Establish and maintain a governance model for ad integration, focusing on high-quality output and documentation across the NBCU portfolio.
  • Stay informed about new specifications, technologies, and industry trends.
  • Implement processes to foster team success while promoting a positive work culture.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems integration or ad technology.
  • Demonstrated success in leading small to mid-sized technical teams in delivering critical technology solutions.
  • Advanced understanding of streaming media technologies, including video players, ABR streaming techniques, Content Delivery Networks, and ad serving technologies.
  • Expertise in system integration and solutions design.
  • Significant experience implementing streaming media solutions across various platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of IAB standards such as VAST, VMAP, VPAID, and openRTB.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting backend and client-side technical issues related to streaming video and advertising technology.
  • Experience with video ad serving using Freewheel MRM.
