Job Overview

Mclaurin Aerospace is seeking a highly skilled System Verification and Validation Engineer to join our JETS II contract team at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a dynamic team that is passionate about human space exploration and developing innovative solutions for NASA's pursuits in deep space exploration.

The selected candidate will be responsible for developing test cases and test scripts for software verification efforts, integrating software from various vendors, and developing tests for dynamic physical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop test cases and test scripts for software verification efforts
  • Integrate software from various vendors
  • Develop tests for dynamic physical systems
  • Perform data analysis and have experience with simulation techniques
  • Perform other duties as required
Qualifications

This position has been posted at multiple levels. Depending on the candidate's experience, requirements, and business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates at any level for which this position has been advertised.

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 2- 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area
  • Experience working as part of an Integrated Product Team to develop and test high criticality software Experience with highly autonomous systems
  • Experience with web-based collaboration tools Proficiency with C/C++ coding in a Linux environment Experience with agile software development
  • Should be a quick learner and self-motivated
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and coordination skills and strong customer service attitude
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python
  • Experience developing software across the full development life cycle Knowledge of the NASA Gateway Spacecraft systems and software Experience with the following web-based collaboration tools
    • JIRA
    • Confluence
    • Slack
    • SharePoint
  • Safety and flight critical software development NASA software and systems development standards
