Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer to join our team in New Berlin, WI. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for performing analytical calculations and designing mechanical systems for crane components.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in mechanical or structural engineering. You will work closely with our design team to develop and implement new ideas and technologies. Your expertise in standards such as AWS D1.1/D14.1, AISC, CMAA, and AGMA will be essential in ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform analytical calculations to compute stresses developed in structural and mechanical components of cranes.
  • Evaluate the static strength and fatigue life of fasteners, shafts, bearings, and gears.
  • Use MathCad, ANSYS, and other analytical tools to perform and present mechanical and structural calculations.
  • Develop programs in MathCAD, Excel, and APDL to standardize and automate calculations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering.
  • A minimum of 2 years of related experience performing mechanical or structural calculations.
  • Expertise in standards such as AWS D1.1/D14.1, AISC, CMAA, and AGMA.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
