
Low Voltage System Drive Assembler

We are seeking a skilled production assembler to fill this role at Abb Holdings Inc.
Your Key Responsibilities:- Assemble products by following engineering documents, schematics, and layout drawings.
- Use a computer to check schedules and update manufacturing status of jobs.
- Determine wire routing, cut, strip, label, crimp, and terminate wire, securing bundles in accordance with engineering documentation.
- Design cabinets, determining locations of components, wire, and duct runs.
- Select proper hardware and perform tasks such as drilling, tapping, punching, cutting to mount components in cabinets and on panels.
- Support the training of other employees, addressing inquiries and resolving problems.
- Perform material handling activities as required.
- Review assembly processes and methods, recommending changes to ensure continuous improvement of productivity and quality.
- Maintain accurate communication with engineering.
- Complete all required paperwork, records, documentation, reject tickets, etc.
Key Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1 year of related manufacturing/shop floor assembly experience required.
- Ability to read and comprehend English assembly instructions, assembly drawings, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to interpret and assemble off of wiring schematics and mechanical layout drawings.
- Effective communication skills for interaction with colleagues.
- Proficiency in operating small hand and power tools, wire strippers, crimping tools, soldering tools, hand taps, punches, hand trucks, heat guns, precision measuring devices, computer, and keyboard, etc.
