**Job Summary:**

We are looking for a responsible and self-motivated individual to work as an Underground Utility Locator. The successful candidate will be responsible for locating underground cables, pipes, and other utilities using specialized equipment to prevent damages and ensure safety during excavation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive to sites in response to routine ticket requests and emergencies, and relocate as needed.
  • Utilize mapping tools, location information, and locating equipment to identify underground utilities, including electrical cables and gas lines.
  • Indicate utility locations using paint, flags, and communicate relevant information to excavation personnel or other authorities.
  • Clean and maintain vehicle and issued equipment.
  • Respond to after-hours emergency call-outs in accordance with the established rotation schedule.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Computer skills.
  • Valid driver's license in applicable state of employment.
  • Ability to work overtime when duties cannot be performed within a normal work schedule.
  • Subject to Vannguard's Drug-Free Workplace Program and completion of a pre-employment drug screening.
