Tidelands Health is seeking a board-certified anesthesia service line chair (medical director) with a minimum of three years medical director leadership experience to serve our two acute care hospitals. This leadership position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the delivery of high-quality patient care and contribute to the growth and development of our anesthesia department.
Responsibilities
As the chair of our anesthesia service line, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to our anesthesia department. This will include developing and implementing departmental goals and objectives, managing departmental budgets, and overseeing the recruitment and retention of high-quality anesthesia providers. You will also be responsible for ensuring that our anesthesia department is compliant with all relevant regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in anesthesia and leadership experience. You will also need to be able to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Additionally, you will need to be able to work collaboratively as part of a team and be able to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
