Job Title: Clinical Secretary Nursing Assistant

At Tidelands Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Clinical Secretary Nursing Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our nursing unit, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care services and administrative support to our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care services as assigned by the Clinical Director and under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
  • Perform clerical duties on a nursing unit, including answering phones, relaying messages, and acting as a receptionist.
  • Receive and direct visitors and ambulatory patients.
  • Work with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless care delivery.
Requirements:
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of Medical Terminology course and a passing score on the examination.
  • One year of clerical experience or Nursing Assistant experience preferred.
  • Satisfactory Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Completion of approved course of study for Nursing Assistant training or successful completion of fundamentals semester of Nursing school.
Special Skills:
  • American Heart Association Healthcare provider course with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required to be initially completed with the GHS Staff Development Office within 30 calendar days of hire date.
  • BLS Recertification is required every two years.
Physical Requirements:

The employee must exert 20 to 35 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 15 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

May be exposed to infectious specimens, diseases, and soiled laundry, however, potential for personal harm or injury is limited when proper safety and health precautions are followed.
