  • Offers helpful suggestions to customers and identifies opportunities for upselling additional products or services.
  • Responds to customer inquiries via phone in a courteous manner, providing updates on orders, product availability, and current promotions.
  • Restocks merchandise and organizes product displays to maintain a tidy and professional store appearance.
  • Monitors store entrances and exits to enhance safety and security, addressing any concerns with management.
  • Performs routine cleaning tasks to uphold a welcoming atmosphere, including sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste.
  • Assists with various team functions as needed.
  • Completes other assigned duties as required.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED preferred, with additional coursework in relevant fields being a plus.

Experience: At least 6 months of experience in a retail environment, demonstrating exceptional customer service and proficiency with point of sale systems.

Essential Skills
  • Demonstrates strong customer service skills and communicates effectively in a professional manner.
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of store policies and cash handling procedures.
  • Capable of acquiring knowledge about various store products to assist customers effectively.

  • Ability to adhere to a flexible work schedule and report to work punctually.
  • Willingness to work extended hours as necessary.
  • Reliable transportation is required.
Work Environment
  • Primarily operates in a climate-controlled setting, with occasional outdoor work when assisting customers.
Potential exposure to:

• Temperature fluctuations and wet surfaces due to weather conditions.
• Sharp objects and hazardous materials associated with product handling.
• Dust and chemicals related to agricultural products.
• Moving equipment and machinery.
• Moderate noise levels where hearing protection may be necessary.

Physical Requirements

While fulfilling the essential duties of this role, the following physical activities are required:
  • Continuously: Stand, walk, bend, reach, and utilize hands in repetitive motions.
  • Frequently: Turn and twist head, neck, and back.
  • Occasionally: Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
