- Lead Generation: Create new and repeat sales leads through product expertise, technical insights, and outstanding customer service.
- Proposal Management: Craft customer sales proposals, pricing estimates, and bid support documents, managing contracts through to closure.
- CRM Engagement: Utilize CRM systems to monitor, manage, and analyze sales activities and trends.
- Networking: Generate leads from industry trade exhibitions and regional networking functions.
- Quality Assurance: Uphold and enhance sales quality by adhering to established standards and recommending policy and procedural improvements.
- Continuous Learning: Regularly update job knowledge through product training and participation in educational programs.
- Goal Orientation: Propel the sales team to achieve departmental and organizational objectives, providing senior management with monthly sales performance reports and exploring avenues for added product value.
SUPERVISORY ROLE:
- Guide and mentor the sales team, offering support and direction to meet individual and collective sales goals.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant scientific field from an accredited institution; advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: At least 10 years of demonstrated sales experience in the technology sector, with substantial exposure to telecommunications or satellite industries being advantageous.
- Sales Acumen: Minimum of 10 years in sales and business development, focusing on technology-driven solutions for system integrators, M2M service providers, and OEM companies.
- Business Development: Strong background in new business acquisition, client relationship management, and sales forecasting.
- Track Record: Proven success in achieving high sales rankings and accolades in previous positions, with a solid history in OEM, agriculture, oil and gas, or vehicle telematics sectors.
- Leadership Qualities: Assertive and intelligent team player with the capability to lead, identify, and close business opportunities.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable discussing a wide array of products and technologies, with the ability to engage effectively with highly skilled technology professionals.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and negotiation capabilities.
- Sales Cycle Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of the sales cycle, including account management, sales activity forecasting, and regular reporting to management.
- Multitasking Ability: Proficient in managing multiple opportunities concurrently at various stages of the sales cycle.
- Prospecting Skills: Proven ability in identifying new accounts and closing sales.
- Language Proficiency: Knowledge of an additional language is a plus.
