Job Overview

Position Summary

The Count Team Supervisor plays a pivotal role in overseeing the collection, organization, and documentation of gaming results. This position is essential for the efficient operation and upkeep of the Soft Count Room and associated currency counting machinery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to the policies and procedures set forth by the Seminole Tribe of Florida.
  • Safeguard the organization's assets through diligent oversight.
  • Implement key control measures to maintain operational integrity.
  • Direct the processes of collecting, sorting, counting, and recording gaming results, as well as managing the transfer of funds to the vault.
  • Report any discrepancies to the Count Team Manager promptly.
  • Assist in the recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of team members.
  • Address employee concerns and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in cash handling, preferably within the casino or banking sectors.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to comprehend and apply all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of safe handling practices for cleaning chemicals.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication skills in English, particularly related to job duties.
  • Capability to complete standard forms and reports as required.
  • Adaptability to changing situations and a collaborative spirit.
  • Judgment and decision-making skills to operate independently.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor are essential.

Work Environment

  • Work is typically conducted in an office setting, with occasional requirements to be present on the casino floor, where exposure to environmental factors such as smoke and noise may occur.
  • Ability to perform tasks in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Physical demands include standing for extended periods and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, along with depth perception.

Native American Preference Policy

The Tribal Council prioritizes employment practices that favor Native Americans, offering first preference to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet job qualifications, followed by members of other federally recognized tribes.

Employment Process
