Job Summary

The Oncology Institute of Hope and Innovation is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Records Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of patient medical records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and verify patient demographic and personal information
  • Issue medical files to authorized personnel and agencies in accordance with laws and regulations
  • Participate in departmental audits and investigations to maintain quality and accuracy of records
  • Ensure patient charts, paperwork, and reports are completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Protect and maintain confidentiality of patient medical records
  • File and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records
  • Provide support to the nursing department by supplying necessary documents and forms
  • Perform various clerical duties, including answering queries and processing patient admission and discharge records
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a similar role, with medical assistants welcome to apply
  • Advanced understanding of medical terminology and administrative processes
  • Proficiency in information management programs and MS Office
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
