Position Overview

ESP Associates is seeking a dedicated Aerial Imagery Processing Technician to enhance our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in the creation and refinement of orthophotos derived from aerial digital imagery, essential for mapping and analysis. Your responsibilities will encompass various tasks aimed at product development, including image stitching, editing, and color correction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate on project initiation and workflow planning to ensure compliance with all requirements.
  • Assist the Ortho Lead in generating orthophoto outputs from diverse aerial imaging systems, including various camera formats.
  • Support the Ortho Lead in adhering to project timelines, ensuring prompt delivery of final products.
  • Participate in quality assurance evaluations and testing of orthophoto outputs against client and industry standards.
  • Contribute to the Geospatial team with additional tasks related to aerial imagery and lidar processing as necessary, including cross-training opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred educational background includes an Associate's degree or higher in Geography, Geospatial Technology, GIS, or a related discipline.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in producing orthophoto products, including rectification, mosaicking, seamline editing, and quality assurance.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and ortho production software, such as the OrthoPro suite.
  • Familiarity with geographic coordinates, cartography, and the properties of aerial imagery.
  • Goal-oriented with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed to fulfill project timelines.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with colleagues and supervisors to achieve set objectives.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strict time constraints.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of functioning well within a team setting.
  • Open to cross-training in additional disciplines, such as lidar.
  • Must successfully pass a drug screening, background check, and maintain a satisfactory driving record in accordance with company policies.
