Role Responsibilities

The Water Damage Project Supervisor will:

  • Report directly to the Branch Manager and oversee the Mitigation Superintendent, Lead Technician, and support staff, ensuring ongoing training and guidance.
  • Coordinate mitigation efforts for project initiation, including drafting work orders, scheduling assignments, obtaining approvals from insurance representatives, and managing timelines for project commencement and completion.
  • Collaborate with the Team Coordinator to handle administrative duties, arrange inspections, and oversee collections.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with insurance agents, adjustors, clients, and suppliers.
  • Supervise restoration and mitigation operations to guarantee operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and employee safety.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and Apex policies to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Take charge of profit and loss responsibilities for assigned projects.
Key Competencies

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Strong communication, organizational, teamwork, accuracy, attention to detail, time management, conflict resolution, and cost management skills.
  • Proven leadership abilities in guiding the mitigation team.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • A comprehensive understanding of construction operations and procedures.
  • Proficiency in using PSA, XactAnalysis, Xactimate, and MICA Moisture Mapping software.
  • Willingness to obtain Xactimate Level 1 certification.
  • Familiarity with server and cloud technologies, including Microsoft Office and PSA project management/accounting tools.
  • Ability to foster strong relationships with team members, clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Knowledge of budgeting processes, approving order requests, and achieving profit margins.
  • Capability to monitor performance metrics to proactively address and resolve issues.
  • Experience in inspecting job sites to determine initial scopes of work and confirming details with clients and adjustors.
  • Ability to address customer inquiries and lead the team in resolving challenges.
  • Commitment to ensuring weekly vehicle inspections are completed.
  • Availability to work 40+ hours per week as needed and be on call during emergencies.
  • Flexibility to perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

  • Project management experience, ideally within the restoration industry.
  • Experience in mitigation practices.
  • Understanding of insurance claim processes, standards, and guidelines.
  • Preferred WRT certification from IICRC.
  • Knowledge of job budgeting, order approvals, and profit margin management.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds and navigate confined spaces and ladders.
  • A professional appearance and demeanor.
  • A valid driver's license and eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • No felony convictions.
