Job Title: Principal / Senior Principal Subsystems Design Engineer (F-35)

Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly skilled Principal / Senior Principal Subsystems Design Engineer (F-35) to join our team of experienced professionals. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing advanced subsystems for the F-35 aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop advanced subsystems for the F-35 aircraft, including electrical, mechanical, and software systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure subsystems meet performance, safety, and reliability requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and technical reports.
  • Participate in design reviews and technical meetings to ensure subsystems meet program requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in subsystem design and development.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in subsystem design and development, with a focus on F-35 aircraft.
  • Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and software systems, including design principles and testing methods.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to obtain a DOD Secret clearance within a reasonable period of time.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with CATIA V5 or other 3D CAD software.
  • Knowledge of GD&T principles and testing methods.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver presentations to engineering change boards.
