Department Assistant & Parts Counterperson

Job Summary:

Pape' Machinery, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Department Assistant & Parts Counterperson to join our team in Fall River Mills, CA. As a key member of our branch, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized reception area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Process transactions, including taking and processing customer payments, making bank deposits, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area, ensuring a positive first impression for customers.
  • Work with customers to determine their needs, recommend parts or services, and ensure timely delivery of parts.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve branch goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to create and maintain good relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Above-average typing and computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Verifiable parts counter experience or applicable mechanical/service experience.
  • Knowledge of parts inventory.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers by telephone and in person.
