Job Title: Emergency Department Nurse - Travel Assignment

Tact Staff is seeking a skilled Emergency Department Nurse for a travel nursing assignment in a reputable healthcare institution.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Emergency Department Nurse to join our team on a travel assignment. As a travel nurse with Tact Staff, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and making a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, prioritizing data collection based on the patient's immediate condition or needs.
  • Develop individualized plans of care that reflect collaboration with other members of the healthcare team.
  • Perform appropriate treatments as ordered by physicians in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Provide individualized patient and family education.
  • Document patient assessment findings, physical and psychosocial responses to nursing intervention, and progress towards problem resolution.
  • Initiate emergency resuscitative measures according to appropriate resuscitation protocols.
  • Maintain confidentiality in matters related to patient, family, and facility staff.
  • Provide care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that is sensitive to the patient's and family's diversity, preserving their autonomy, dignity, and rights.
  • Adhere to standards of safety and infection control in the delivery of patient care.
  • Assist nursing staff in other departments as requested and if qualified, when needed.
  • Assume professional responsibility for ensuring patient care is of the highest standards possible.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current licensure in good standing in the state of California.
  • 1 year experience as an Emergency Department nurse preferred.
  • ACLS, PALS, and CPR certification. NRP and TNCC required within one year of hire date.
Working Conditions:
  • Willingness to work beyond normal working hours and in other positions temporarily when necessary.
  • Involved with personnel, visitors, and government agencies, etc., when necessary.
  • Must function independently, have personal integrity, have flexibility, and the ability to work effectively with other personnel, clients, and support agencies.
Physical Requirements:
  • Sits, stands, bends, lifts, walks, and moves intermittently during working hours.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
