Emergency Department Nurse

At HexaQuEST Health, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Emergency Department RN to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting.
Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough patient assessments, prioritizing data collection based on the patient's immediate condition or needs.
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care, collaborating with other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Perform a wide range of medical procedures, including EKGs, blood draws, and IV starts, with accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide individualized patient and family education, promoting health literacy and empowering patients to take an active role in their care.
- Document patient assessment findings, physical and psychosocial responses to nursing interventions, and progress towards problem resolution.
- Initiate emergency resuscitative measures according to established protocols, ensuring timely and effective response to critical situations.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to standards of safety and infection control in the delivery of patient care.
- Assist nursing staff in other departments as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to teamwork.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current licensure in good standing in the state of California.
- 1 year experience as an Emergency Department nurse preferred.
- ACLS, PALS, and CPR certification.
- NRP and TNCC required within one year of hire date.
This role requires the ability to work beyond normal working hours and in other positions temporarily when necessary. The successful candidate will be involved with personnel, visitors, and government agencies, and must function independently, have personal integrity, flexibility, and the ability to work effectively with other personnel, clients, and support agencies.
This is a full-time position with a minimum of 36 guaranteed hours per week. The ideal candidate will be available to work nights, 4pm-4:30am, and will be required to participate in holiday coverage.
