Key Responsibilities

Opportunity and Qualifications:

We are in search of candidates at the Manager or Senior Manager level with a specialization in International Tax to operate from our Northeast Ohio offices. We offer a flexible, hybrid work environment.

This role entails assisting clients in navigating complex international and domestic tax challenges. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, timely services, foster strong client relationships, and uphold professionalism. Responsibilities include reviewing tax returns and projects completed by other tax professionals and mentoring team members in international tax matters. Additionally, this position involves representing clients in interactions with tax authorities regarding international tax issues.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and/or review various tax forms, including Forms 926, 1118, 5471, 8858, 8865, 8991, 8992, 8993, along with associated disclosures and calculations.
  • Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver industry insights and expertise, managing teams of tax professionals and assistants on client projects while providing leadership and career guidance.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships across diverse industries.
  • Advise clients and ensure the delivery of high-quality tax services, assisting with the implementation of specific international tax structures.
  • Conduct research and prepare materials for consulting projects related to tax planning.
  • Engage in market and business development activities external to the firm.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited institution, preferably in accounting, tax, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant public accounting experience.
  • CPA certification is preferred but required only for the Senior Manager level.
  • Extensive knowledge of international tax issues, including trends, developments, and key concepts such as Subpart F, GILTI, BEAT, FDII, and foreign tax credits.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with experience managing senior-level client relationships and participating in strategic planning.
  • Proven ability to mentor and develop others in a dynamic team environment.
  • Business development skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • A strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
