Job Summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Preregistration Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our patient access team, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless patient registration and financial clearance processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify patient demographics and insurance information to ensure accurate billing and payment processing.
  • Conduct insurance eligibility checks and obtain authorizations/referrals as necessary.
  • Collect patient responsibility and communicate financial obligations clearly and effectively.
  • Collaborate with scheduling, financial counseling, and registration staff to minimize patient wait times.
  • Document all information obtained during pre-registration activities and identify patients in need of financial assistance.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • 3+ years of experience in patient access, medical billing, or customer service required.
