Position Overview:

As a Cashier at Gringo's Mexican Kitchen, you will play a vital role in ensuring a pleasant dining experience for our guests. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks aimed at delivering exceptional service and maintaining operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor.
  • Provide information regarding menu items, beverages, and services offered.
  • Prepare and present the final bill to guests, handling payments and processing transactions accurately.
  • Complete assigned side work before and after shifts as directed by management.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns promptly.
  • Communicate guest feedback to management to enhance service quality.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the restaurant.
  • Follow established closing procedures to ensure the restaurant is secured and properly closed.
  • Participate in scheduled team meetings to stay informed and engaged.
Qualifications:

Essential Skills and Attributes:
  • Prior experience in a restaurant setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow simple instructions.
  • Capable of writing basic correspondence.
  • Effective communication skills for presenting information to customers and team members.
  • Proficient in basic math skills, including addition and subtraction of monetary values.
  • Exemplary personal hygiene and grooming standards are required.
  • Food Handler Certification is mandatory.
Physical Demands:

To successfully perform the essential functions of this role, team members must meet the following physical requirements:
  • Regularly stand and walk throughout shifts.
  • Occasionally stoop or kneel as needed.
  • Lift, push, or carry items weighing up to 60 pounds on occasion.
