Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our team at Placon. As a key member of our HR department, you will provide administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our HR functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide receptionist services for the HR team, responding to inquiries and directing calls and visitors as needed.
  • Assist with recruitment efforts, including scheduling interviews, conducting employment tests, and managing HR mailboxes.
  • Close new hire and termination paperwork into our HRIS system.
  • Coordinate department meetings, take minutes, and distribute action plans.
  • Conduct motor vehicle checks annually and schedule HR quarterly meetings.
  • Prepare new hire orientations, including booking locations and preparing materials.
  • Maintain the company organizational chart, updating it monthly.
  • Assist with training program coordination and maintenance of training records.
  • Provide event coordination assistance, including the 20 Year Outing and United Way events.
  • Manage departmental mail, filing, and company supplies.
  • Process safety shoe and glasses reimbursements, schedule Safety Committee Meetings, and maintain safety records.
  • Issue security access cards and maintain security access system data.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Administrative Assistant or related field preferred, with 3 years of experience in a highly responsible administrative role.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS, and Timekeeping systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with people at all levels within the organization.
  • Proactive approach, with a high level of detail orientation and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Work Environment

This is a full-time, onsite position at our office, with occasional work in our production environment.

Equipment/Tools Used

Personal computer, fax, phone, calculator, copy machine, Microsoft Office Suite, C-Cure, and I-Solved.

Physical Requirements

Light work (lift 10 lbs), with occasional miscellaneous office supplies and equipment.

Mental Requirements

Reading, writing, calculation, interpersonal interaction skills, reasoning/analysis, and ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
