JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Senior Mechanical Project Engineer will oversee the development and coordination of tooling for laser, vibration, and ultrasonic welding machinery. This role requires a combination of engineering expertise, project management skills, and innovative thinking. The successful candidate will ensure that tooling projects are completed on time, meet technical requirements, and adhere to high-quality standards.In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Collaborate with the international design team to develop, optimize, and improve tooling for complex mechanical and electro-mechanical automation products, including jigs, fixtures, and assemblies.
Address sophisticated engineering challenges with innovative solutions to improve tooling performance, ensuring designs meet industry standards of function and performance, while adhering to safety laws
Lead and manage multiple tooling development projects, creating schedules, budgets, and resource plans to ensure accurate completion and cost control
Provide engineering support for tooling, machine operation, modifications, maintenance, and supplier interactions, while maintaining detailed project documentation and records.
Deliver training for customers and new employees through various programs, and stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and standard processes in tooling design and manufacturing.
Lead the coordination of multiple projects between manufacturing, planning & buying teams. Including tryout and acceptance at supplier and customer.
Provide engineering documentation for machinery and fixtures to customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
Proven experience in mechanical engineering, specifically in tooling development for industrial equipment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record to collaborate effectively with team members, vendors, and stakeholders.
Excellent problem-solving abilities, with experience in analyzing complex technical issues and creating effective solutions.
Physical capability to transport materials and tools weighing up to 50 pounds.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
Advanced degree (e.g., MS in Engineering) or relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP).
5+ years of experience in tooling development for industrial equipment.
Proven track record in managing complex engineering projects and leading cross-functional teams.
Strong understanding of tooling design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., NX, SolidWorks).
Familiarity with Oracle EBS.
