Job Title: Mechanical Engineer II

Daifuku Airport America Corporation is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer II to join our Airport Baggage Handling engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical conveyor systems for airport baggage handling projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mechanical conveyor systems for airport baggage handling projects using AutoCAD 2D and 3D environments.
  • Prepare specifications, drawings, and process descriptions for manufacture, fabrication, and subcontracting.
  • Design and select conveyor equipment, including power transmission equipment.
  • Order mechanical equipment on an engineering level, interfacing with purchasing and vendors.
  • Participate in testing and commercial installation and commissioning efforts.
  • Support proposals and inquiries to promote future product sales.
  • Meet project timelines to ensure projects stay on schedule and on budget.
Requirements:
  • BSME, BSMET, or relevant technical degree, or a combination of relevant work experience with industrial automation or material handling systems design.
  • 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in material handling systems design.
  • AutoCAD experience in 2D and 3D environments.
  • Experience with Inventor, preferred.
  • Experience with material handling systems, preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
