Position Overview

Compensation: $39.48/hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with departmental leadership to support the planning, organization, and management of activities within designated areas.
  • Collaborate with users to perform research, fact-finding, and analysis to identify and define system requirements, objectives, and priorities while tracking the progress of intricate information systems.
  • Develop or adjust processes to address complex challenges, taking into account computer equipment capabilities, operational timelines, and desired outcomes to maximize computer efficiency.
  • Create comprehensive project feasibility analyses, outlining the complete system scope, project costs, time estimates, and necessary human resources and IT infrastructure for both new and existing application software systems.
  • Guide, mentor, and coordinate the efforts of junior application software developers and/or application systems analysts, aiding in the development of challenging and sophisticated programs.
  • May serve as Team and/or Project lead, accountable for the successful completion of project phases.
  • Deliver thorough documentation for newly developed or modified information systems and/or application software programs, including operational procedures and manuals.
  • Draft detailed specifications from which application software will be developed.
  • Plan and execute system testing strategies.
  • Design, code, and troubleshoot new application software programs, as well as enhance existing application software programs across various levels.
  • Conduct testing and debugging of both new and existing application software.
  • Perform tasks in accordance with established techniques, standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Utilize case tools and/or application development software tools as necessary.
  • Oversee application software systems to ensure optimal execution and performance.
