PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: To deliver financial and credit analysis support for the operations of Loves Travel Stops & Country Store.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs thorough credit assessments of potential clients' financial documents, credit histories, and additional information to evaluate the risk associated with extending credit. Approves applicants and terms or provides recommendations within designated authority limits.
  • Handles requests for credit limit adjustments and term modifications from both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Tracks daily exposure to counterparties to ensure that trading activities remain within established limits and adhere to relevant credit policies.
  • Negotiates and manages credit terms in contracts and various security-related documents, including guarantees and letters of credit.
  • Collaborates with multiple departments (Marketing/Sales, Collections, Billing, Cash Application, Treasury, Accounting, etc.) to facilitate customer system setups, resolve customer issues, manage risks and exposures, and ensure compliance with credit policies.
  • Assists in maximizing company profits through effective risk assessment and exposure management, which supports sales while minimizing bad debt losses and optimizing accounts receivable turnover.
  • Supports the Credit Manager in preparing monthly reports and other assigned projects.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • This role is hybrid, involving both in-office and remote work.
  • The position is open to candidates residing in various locations.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education:
    • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Prior experience in customer service is advantageous.
    • Experience with SAP is preferred.

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Skills:
    • Expertise in Financial Risk Analysis.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word).
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal abilities.
    • Capability to maintain professionalism in challenging situations.
    • Effective time management and organizational skills, with a collaborative and results-driven mindset.
  • Typical Physical Requirements:
    • Involves prolonged periods of sitting, with some bending and stooping.
    • Occasional lifting of items up to 25 pounds.
    • Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
    • Requires normal hearing and vision capabilities.
