Position Overview:

The Senior Trainer will elevate the training experience, ensuring the effective transfer of knowledge regarding policies, procedures, and company culture. Our aim is to provide a consistent and impactful learning experience that drives performance among all veterinary team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Focus on delivering comprehensive training content to new veterinary team members.
  • Implement consistent and effective training methodologies utilizing blended learning techniques.
  • Facilitate engaging Instructor-Led Training (ILT) and Virtually Instructor-Led Training (VILT) sessions.
  • Monitor and report on trainee progress and areas for improvement to management and stakeholders post-training.
  • Provide real-time coaching to trainees in a constructive manner, addressing corrective actions as needed.
  • Conduct training sessions for trainers to enhance their instructional skills.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams as a subject matter expert to develop and refine training programs tailored to learner needs.
  • Foster engagement through effective facilitation and collaboration, exemplifying a customer-centric culture.
  • Convey information in an engaging and easily digestible manner.
  • Identify and address gaps in the training experience to further business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Active Veterinary Technician License/Certification (CVT, LVT, RVT) required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in training and educational program development.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in small animal veterinary practice or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in facilitation with a solid understanding of adult learning principles.
  • Ability to guide and develop new hires throughout their onboarding process.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into actionable training strategies.
  • Proficient in training and facilitation deliverables.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.).
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Willingness to travel extensively for training sessions and organizational needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Previous experience in customer service or high-volume service-oriented environments is advantageous.
